Happy SEWcial Friday Friends!!

Today let’s learn how to make a pin wheel flower stitch, also known as the Woven Wheel, Wagon Wheel, or Spider Web stitch.

Step 1: Draw Your circle Guideline

Step 2: Stitch the Foundation Spokes. To weave the wheel, you need an odd number of spokes (usually 5 or 7).
Bring your needle up at the outer edge of your drawn circle, and stitch a straight line down into the center dot.
Repeat this until you have an odd number of evenly spaced straight lines radiating out from the center like the spokes of a bicycle wheel.

Step 3: Weave the Petals: come out just next to the center point.l on any of the “pie slices “ you’ve made and begin weaving by passing your needle over the first spoke, and under the next spoke.
Continue this under-one, over-one weaving motion in a continuous circle around the spokes.

Important Tip: Do not pull your thread too tightly, or the flower will flatten and pucker. Let the thread sit softly and gently against the fabric to create a natural, “fluffy” 3D flower effect.

Step 4: Finish the Edges: Keep weaving round and round until the spokes are completely covered and you reach the edge of your drawn circle. To finish, push your needle down into the fabric just outside the woven circle and tie off the thread on the back.

And that’s all it takes to make this beautiful puffy and tridimensional flower!!
Lmk how it goes or share a picture of your result in the comments!!
